How long does it take for the smell of a mattress to go away?

If you belong to the majority of people who have bought themselves a new memory foam mattress in order to improve the quality of their sleep, then you have probably faced the issue with the unusual smell. That smell is specific for almost every new product that you get. Whether it is a new car, new home appliances, or a new mattress, they are all wrapped with this specific odor which is a product of off-gassing.

Off-gassing is the emission of chemicals in the form of gases. In the foam and adhesives of the mattresses, there are “volatile organic compounds” (VOCs) which are breaking apart and that is how off-gassing occurs. In most cases, this is a normal and harmless process. Once you remove the plastic from your memory foam mattress, you will notice this slight smell, but you shouldn’t worry at all.

Our company’s toppers are of the greatest quality and that is the main reason for having repeat customers over the years. We have delivered thousands of toppers straight to the student’s dorm room for free and all of them are happy to share their positive reviews. Once you receive the topper, you can enjoy its greatness only 5 or 10 minutes after unwrapping it. Let it expand, breathe a little and start enjoying.

You will easily notice that the smell is not as strong as it happens to be from other similar products. The majority of our clients claim that there is no smell at all. That is perfect, right? You won’t have to waste a couple of days of leaving the mattress in another room, with the windows open and a constant circulation of fresh air which will help you to get rid of the smell quickly. You can use our toppers from day one.

The foam used in the production of our toppers is Certi-PUR – certified flexible polyurethane foam. It is made without ozone depleters, formaldehyde, and it does not contain mercury, lead, and other heavy metals. The VOC emissions for indoor air quality is extremely low - less than 0.5 parts per million. All of this makes our mattress toppers one of a kind. They offer enough support for each body type. So, if you want to get a good night sleep and be refreshed and energetic for the start of the new day at college, you should definitely join the community of students who use these advanced and comfortable toppers.
